Why I Don’t Trust the Government

I’m trying to get a new driver’s license. I have lived in 3 different states and it has never been easy. I knew this, so I called ahead. The lady was pleasant on the phone, but she told me it would be 3-4 hours at least. I came anyway and got my number. It’s not looking good- I’ve been here 2 hours and only 4 numbers in my category have been called. The ladies bathroom was closed. It was out of toilet paper and somebody messed it up. So they locked it. Did I mention the lock on the men’s room is broken? Yes, one single bathroom for over 80 people and no lock. So, don’t think I’m evil or heartless because I don’t believe big government helps anybody. I’m just a product of experience.

MORE to come. Needless to say I didn’t get my license after 5 1/2 hours.

Day 2 was better. I actually got the license after about 4 hours. Several people cheered. I’m not kidding. They were on their day 2 as well–and right after me in line. I never, ever want to depend on the government for anything. I feel sorry for those who do. It’s a giant, money-sucking sloth, and that’s the nicest way I know how to say it.
